Atro Privacy Policy

Atro is a local-first workout journal for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains how Atro handles information when you use the app.

Information Stored On Your Device

Atro stores the following information locally so the app can function:

  • workout templates

  • planned workouts

  • logged workouts

  • workout notes and tags

  • State of Body entries

  • meal entries

  • app settings

This data is not transmitted to Atro-operated servers.

Health Data

If you enable Apple Health integration, Atro may:

  • read workouts

  • read active energy

  • read exercise minutes

  • write completed workouts you explicitly save (if workout export is enabled)

Health data is used only to power features like Today context, Journal matching, and optional export.

Atro does not use Health data for advertising, marketing, or data brokerage.

If you do not enable Health access, Atro continues to function normally.

Calendar Data

If you enable Calendar sync, Atro may add planned workouts using write-only access. These events may include:

  • workout title

  • scheduled date and time

  • planned duration

  • workout notes

  • a deep link back into Atro

Atro does not require full read access to your Calendar.

If Calendar access is not enabled, you can still export .ics files manually.

User-Initiated Sharing

Atro allows you to export or share content when you explicitly choose to do so. Once information is sent to another app or service, their privacy policies apply.

Data Collection

Atro is designed so your data stays on your device by default.

Atro does not collect personal information and does not transmit your workout, meal, journal, or Health data to external servers.

If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before release.

Tracking, Analytics, and Advertising

Atro does not use tracking for advertising.

Atro does not include third-party advertising SDKs.

Atro does not include third-party analytics SDKs.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it.

You can remove all Atro data at any time:

Settings → Delete All Data

You can also revoke Calendar and Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Children

Atro is not intended for children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date.
